Toni Volpe - Nadara

Toni brings over 20 years’ experience as an energy sector CEO to his role with Nadara, having previously held several management and board positions in Europe and the US.

Prior to launch of the Nadara brand in July 2024, Toni was CEO at Renantis, a global leader in the development, design, construction and management of renewable energy plants and infrastructure. Under his leadership, Renantis expanded geographically in Europe and the US, with growth in wind and solar energy as well as in the energy flexibility and efficiency sectors in Italy. He led the integration project which brought Renantis together with Ventient Energy under the Nadara brand, creating the largest independent producer of onshore wind in Europe.

Born in Salerno in 1972, Toni graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Politecnico of Milan in Management, Industrial and Economics Engineering in 1997, going on to obtain an MBA from Columbia University’s School of Business, New York in 2002.

Toni began his professional career at Decathlon in France, before moving into management consultancy in 1998 at Bain & Company in Milan. He transitioned to the energy sector in 2004, joining the corporate strategy department of Enel Group in Rome, before becoming CEO and Chairman of Enel Green Power North America in 2005. Toni led the company’s portfolio diversification into geothermal, solar, mini-hydro, wind, and biomass, and as CEO of Enel Romania in Bucharest, he managed the largest DSO in the country.

Awarded CEO of the year – Green Energy at the 2021 CEO Awards, hosted by Forbes, Toni was appointed as an independent director of Shoals Technologies (Nasdaq: SHLS) in the same year and served on the Board of Directors of WindEurope from 2020 to 2022.
