14 February 2023 – Susie Lind, Managing Director of the BlueFloat Energy | Renantis partnership has been appointed to the Scottish Renewables Board of Directors.
Serving a three-year term, Susie will help guide Scottish Renewables as it works to grow Scotland’s renewable energy sector and sustain its position at the forefront of the global clean energy industry.
Elected from a pool of 14 candidates, Susie is one of three newly-appointed Directors voted for by members of the industry body for renewable energy in Scotland.
Speaking of her appointment, Susie commented: “As a proud Scot, I’m naturally driven to ensure as many opportunities stay local, whether in supply chain, skills development or other investment. Through my commitment to these elements and a vision for community ownership in offshore wind I believe there is massive opportunity to realise the true potential of renewable energy in Scotland.”
Susie began her career in corporate law before moving to the energy sector in 2010 where she led legal teams and business units across the UK. She previously completed a three-year stint on the Scottish Renewables Board beginning in 2019.
Her current role sees her focus on the delivery of floating offshore wind in the United Kingdom. Alongside developing three floating offshore wind projects in Scotland with seabed leases secured in the ScotWind leasing round last year, the partnership has also submitted applications to Crown Estate Scotland for the INTOG leasing round and is developing two projects in the Celtic Sea.
