Impact, Care, Connection

Ventient Energy and Renantis (formerly Falck Renewables) started operating as a combined organisation in January this year and they are now Nadara.

Nadara derives from a Scottish Gaelic word, ‘Nàdarra’, meaning ‘natural’. Our name is inspired by the natural energy we harness in the renewable energy plants that we develop, own and operate, in order to power lifetimes to come. Watch this video to find out more about Nadara.

As a new organisation, we build on the strength of our heritage and move forward guided by our values of Impact, Care and Connection. In the context of sustainability, we Care about the needs of our stakeholders, including the communities that host our plants and the planet. We are determined to deliver Impact, by creating value while minimising our negative impact on the environment and leaving society in a better place. And we achieve impact through Connection, by collaborating with our communities and wider stakeholders because we believe that we are stronger together.

Our Call for Projects 2024 “Impact, Care, Connection” is aimed at supporting sustainable projects in the communities around our UK wind farms that are aligned to our core values.

Do you or a group in your community have an idea for an initiative that can demonstrate our values in action? Tell us about it for the chance to receive up to £10,000 to deliver community-led actions that address sustainability issues that matter to your community.

We are looking for innovative projects from a wide range of topics that:

  • Are linked to environmental and/or social sustainability.
  • Can demonstrate our values of Impact, Care and Connection in action.
  • Can deliver tangible benefits to your community.
  • Will be up and running in 2025.

Tell us about your idea in the application form here, and send it to us with any supporting information by Friday 1 November 2024. The successful winners will be announced by the end of November 2024.

Benefits can be short, medium or long-term, with preference for those projects that can unlock long-lasting impact or long-term gain.

Ideally, projects must be submitted and delivered by a not-for-profit organisation. If this is not possible due to the nature of your community, please contact us.
