When he started work after graduation, Asset Inspections and Repairs Manager, Leonardo Iacono, felt there was a gap in his knowledge – he was helping ensure wind turbines worked efficiently, but had never seen one up close.
His turning point was the opportunity to climb a turbine and see first-hand what he was monitoring from the office. “Now, visiting turbines is an integral part of my job and to this day I have never stopped planning trips to the field. This connection between the data and the reality has really levelled up my ability to do my job”.
