Joanna Ellis

As our Chief Commercial Officer, Joanna brings over 20 years’ experience in senior roles within vertically integrated utilities, having worked across the wholesale energy market in trading and commercial operations for UK Power, Gas and Coal.

Joanna has a strong background in structuring, negotiating, and closing renewable power purchase agreements, as well as developing new products and services. She spent the first 10 years of her career working in short-term trading roles before moving into origination. She then built on this experience by adding flexible route to market experience (alongside renewable PPAs) in both batteries and gas peakers at Statkraft, Centrica and Engie.

In 2024, Jo became a member of the UK Government’s DESNZ Onshore Wind Industry Taskforce, providing her expertise alongside fellow key industry leaders to support the UK’s ambition to double onshore wind capacity by 2030.
