A'Chruach Wind Farm is located in Kilmichael Forest which is around four kilometres west of Minard in Argyll. The site's 21 turbines are spectacularly set in the rugged Highland terrain, towering over the managed pine forest and looking north towards Loch Glashan. Construction work began in November 2014 and was completed in March 2016. As well as building the turbines, the project required the completion of over 13.5km of access tracks, built with locally sourced rock. The concrete for the turbine bases was also produced on site to limit environmental impact. The wind farm began full production in March 2016.

Beinn Ghlas Wind Farm is situated amongst the hills of the Barguillean Estate near Taynuilt in Argyll. The site‘s 14 turbines sit within an area of grazing land and began commercial operations in May 1999. The 14 Siemens Bonus turbines are rated at 600kW giving the wind farm an installed capacity of 8.4MW.

The current operational wind farm has the potential to operate safely and efficiently for significantly longer than was originally intended, as set out in the life extension application which was consented in 2022.

Nadara has now submitted a planning application to replace the existing wind turbines at Beinn Ghlas with more modern, higher producing machines. The planning application has been validated by Argyll and Bute Council, planning reference 25/01240/PP.

Its three turbines have an installed capacity of 7.5MW and they're located on land that's currently used for pastoral farming, although the local area was historically associated with coal and clay mining. With a summit peaking at 349m, Blackstone Edge is ideally situated to capture the winds that blow across the Pennines, and the three turbines generate enough electricity to power an estimated 6,188 homes. Construction at Blackstone Edge Wind Farm began in July 2012 and the development took nine months to complete.

Bryn Titli Wind Farm is sited on a plateau just to the north of a Site of Special Scientific Interest between Rhayader and Llangurig, Powys. This was a major factor in the environmental assessment of the project and care was taken in the planning phase to avoid areas of ecological interest and to minimise the effects on the local environment. The wind farm has proven to be in an excellent location for renewable energy generation and continues to operate well and planning was therefore submitted to extend its operational life until 2027 with a further 12 months to allow decommissioning and restoration of the site until June 2028.
