Energy in harmony
Sustainability
Sustainability is built into the purpose of our organisation: Together, with nature, we power lifetimes to come.
For us, it means creating value for all our stakeholders through the generation of renewable energy, minimising our impact on the environment and leaving society in a better place.
Our Commitments
Our approach to sustainability is built on two major commitments: to the environment and to society. Under each commitment, we’re focusing on the topics that matter to us and our stakeholders the most: Climate, Circularity and Nature from an environmental perspective, and Our Communities, Our People and Value Chain from a social perspective.
At Nadara, sustainability isn’t a side-project - it’s essential to delivering our strategic objectives, meeting our stakeholders’ needs, and supporting energy security.
Sustainability
Informed by our internal and external stakeholders, we created our Sustainability Impact Framework, which defines the role of sustainability at Nadara and identifies where we can deliver the highest impact.

Sustainability Impact Framework
Our Sustainability Impact Framework brings our definition of sustainability to life, linking all our different approaches of sustainability to our business strategy. Informed through engagement, it identifies the sustainability topics that matter most to us and our stakeholders, so we can focus our efforts in areas where we can deliver the highest impact: to our business, to the environment and to society.
Minimising our impact on the environment
Environmental sustainability for us means achieving our company goals whilst minimising our impact on the environment. As part of this commitment, we strive to exist in harmony with the world around us, utilising natural wind and solar resources to create renewable energy whilst doing everything we can to reduce our operational impact. s
Leaving society in a better place
Social sustainability to us means delivering on our business goals while ensuring our stakeholders can benefit from the value we generate through our activities. We nurture a listening and caring approach based on an early engagement to ensure everyone’s voice is taken into account, ultimately aiming to leave society in a better place.
Our Communities
Our aim is to be recognised as a community partner that builds meaningful long-lasting relationships and contributes to local development.
Our People
Our aim is to create a sustainable environment in which people feel respected, safe and valued.
Value Chain
Our aim is to partner with our stakeholders to influence positive change in the renewable energy sector and beyond.
Governance and sustainable procurement
We can’t deliver on our commitments without a strong foundation of internal governance and solid principles of sustainable procurement. Our sustainability governance framework supports sustainability leadership across our business, and our new Sustainable Procurement Procedure outlines how sustainability issues should be managed throughout our procurement process.
Our impact on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs)
We recognise that our production of renewable energy does more than reducing carbon emissions. Our wind, solar and biomass plants provide a local source of energy, power local businesses, supporting economic growth and energy resilience.
By linking our Sustainability Impact Framework to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, we have a better understanding of how our actions can contribute towards peace and prosperity for people and the planet.
