Buddusò Wind Farm has an installed capacity of 158.7MW and is equipped with 69 Enercon E70 turbines. It is located toward the north-east of the island of Sardinia, in the province of Sassari on a plateau between 2,300 and 3,300 feet above sea level. The excellent wind characteristics, favourable conditions for connection to the electricity grid, modest environmental impact and the positive effect on local communities make Buddusò and Alà dei Sardi one of the most appealing areas in Italy for building a wind farm. This farm can generate around 330GWh of electricity per year, positioning it as Italy’s largest wind farm and one of the biggest in Europe.

The Garisi agri-voltaic park project involves the provinces of Palermo and Caltanissetta and will occupy an area of approximately 129 hectares of land for a total nominal power of 57 MWp.
The project combines agricultural production and renewable energy, with the planting of an ‘agro-forestry-pastoral’ cultivation system identified in collaboration with expert agronomists.
In this way, the plants are sustainable from an agricultural and environmental point of view, and able to combine the needs for the development of renewable energies and the usual agricultural practice.

The 9.7MWp agrivoltaic plant in the Landolina district of Scicli (province of Ragusa) combines the production of renewable energy with the enhancement of local agricultural crops while respecting the environmental peculiarities of the area. The project leverages innovative methods, which have already been successfully adopted in other countries but a novelty in Italy, thanks to the adoption of specific agrivoltaic techniques that generate a beneficial impact on the territory. In order to allow local residents and Sicilian citizens to benefit from a profitable, sustainable and secure investment, Nadara launched and successfully ran the first lending-crowdfunding initiative of the 'Coltiviamo Energia' programme.

San Sostene Wind Farm is divided into two sites (north and south) in the province of Catanzaro. It is developed along the Serre mountain range, on land that is owned by the municipality. The altitude of the site varies between 900m and 1,200m above sea level. The total installed capacity of 78MW is divided across these two sites between the ridges that make up the mountain range: the southern ridge, on which 27 turbines (40.5MW) have been installed, and the northern ridge, on which 15 turbines (37.5MW).

The plant consists of a field with photovoltaic panels for the conversion of solar energy into electrical energy, a system that converts the electrical current from direct to alternating at the grid frequency, a transformer to raise the generated voltage to the grid voltage, and protection devices. The system is grid connected, i.e. connected to the public distribution network into which it feeds the energy produced; there is therefore no need for electricity accumulators. The photovoltaic modules consist of 14280 polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic cells with stable performance over time and high efficiency; the cells are encapsulated between a layer of ÈVA, a UV-stable polymer with low hygroscopicity and tempered glass. The modules are south-facing with a tilt angle of 20°, defined so as to optimise the annual yield in line with the need to limit reciprocal shading and the area available. CO2 savings: 2,100 tonnes/year
